"Finding the Courage to Create" for Beginning writers What's bogging you down? Scared? What stops you from creating? Creativity can be hidden behind walls of fear. Fear of failure, fear of ridicule, and sometimes, even fear of success prevents many of us from acknowledging our talents.. Creativity can be achieved through writing, storytelling and poetry. This workshop will help you get our of your own way "The Artist's Way" by Julia Cameron is required reading. Positive feedback only and privacy must be respected. For the past several years, Melanson has presented this four week workshop at Tufts University,(TAB) the University of Massachusetts Enterprise Center, the prestigious "Sharing The Fire" Storytelling Conference at Simmons College, and Salem State College's Center for Business and Learning. Everyone enjoys making their own "Stonescapes"- beach stones painted with their own hand-drawn designs. Created from your imagination, they can be used as gifts or keepsakes. This two hour program is for children, adults and seniors. Peggy has presented this to adults, teens and kids ages 7-12 at Libraries, High schools and Community activity centers. Also offered privately for groups of ten participants. You supply the creativity, everything else including stones, brushes and paint is provided.
